Finding Home seeks to glorify God by loving the fatherless through growing in awareness, equipping to serve, and reaching out to orphans and families. We hope to increase awareness in our church family of the needs for adoption, foster care, and support for the families who take children into their homes. Once made aware, we want to equip others with the resources and means to serve the fatherless and those in their community, including the adoptive and foster families, the biological families of these children, and the children themselves. This includes spiritual, emotional and physical support of those in need. Accomplishing this effectively will allow unique opportunities to share God’s love and grace to the hurting and helpless in our immediate and international communities.
“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” James 1:27
“Father to the fatherless, defender of widows – this is God, whose dwelling is holy. God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy. But he makes the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land.” Psalm 68:5-6
“And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me.” Matthew 18:5

National Orphan Sunday

Finding Home Adoption Ministry is excited about National Orphan Sunday. We will join with churches nationwide to increase awareness of all the needs facing orphan and foster children. We have been blessed by FBC Clinton’s compassionate response to the needs of children who are without a permanent home. We will address more of those needs on November 8, as well as celebrate those who have found a loving home. As part of this celebration, we will need help with the following:
  • Volunteered baked goods for lunch to be dropped off in the Activities Building.
  • Volunteers to help set up or take down the festivities in Activities Building.
  • Volunteers to entertain the children attending the celebration, including games, face painting, space jump supervision
If you are interested in helping us celebrate, please contact us at 601-927-2150, or email us at
This celebration is open to any families in the Clinton area who have adopted, or any families who are currently in the process of adopting or fostering. We welcome you and invite you to celebrate with us. Please let us know if you would like to attend, or if you would like more information about attending by emailing us at or calling us at 601-927-2150.

Resource Closet Needs

We are excited to announce our Finding Home Resource Closet, a storage area that is used to help families who (often suddenly) bring foster or orphan children into their homes. These children often arrive with little or no personal belongings, and we are fortunate to provide immediate needs for these children. We are always accepting donations for this closet. Items that are always useful are:
Diapers, all sizes
Toiletry items
WalMart gift cards
Email our leadership team for more information.

The Journey Support Group

The Journey Support Group will offer a safe and comforting place for anyone thinking about or in the middle of the adoption process. This will be a time for sharing and learning through other’s stories, prayer and Bible study, and partnership through your personal journey. The Journey will meet at First Baptist Church of Clinton on the third Sunday of each month, from 4:30-6:00 pm. Childcare will be provided. For questions, please call or text Pennye Dees at 601-259-6328.
