Who are we?

At First Baptist Clinton we seek to reach and equip generations to become fully devoted followers of Christ. We do this by glorifying God through worship, gathering with others in biblical community, growing together as disciples who make disciples and going into the world through missions, evangelism and service. We have learned that when we use biblical words to describe biblical truths in biblical ways, our doctrine and practice will be sound, our thinking will be renewed, our lives will be transformed, and God will be greatly glorified.

For a deeper understanding of who we are, what we believe, and how we live out our faith you are invited to participate in one of our DiscoverPoint Classes.

DiscoverPoint Class

The first step along the discipleship pathway is to participate in a DiscoverPoint Class. This is a one-hour Sunday morning class where you will discover who we are, what we believe, and how you can become connected at FBC. During this class, Minister of Education Jim Gifford will introduce you to our church staff and the many ministry opportunities that await you.

For your Family

KIDSLIFE (Children)
KidsLife is the children’s ministry at First Baptist Church Clinton. KidsLife’s goal is to provide experiences for Children that help parents point their children toward Christ so that one day, they will accept Him as their personal Savior and become life long disciples.

RSM (Youth)
Rise Student Ministry is the 7-12 grade ministry of First Baptist Church of Clinton, MS.  Our goal is to rise and do all that God is calling us to do. That means we do whatever it takes to honor God will our lives, with our voices, and with our talents.

I-55 (College)
I-55 College Ministry believe that college students can do more than just fill a seat so we have college students serving in many different areas of the church from children and youth ministries to leading worship.

What to Expect

We want your experience at First Baptist Church to be encouraging and exciting. We work hard to provide a friendly and comfortable place for people from all walks of life. From the time you drive onto our campus you will sense the First Baptist Family wants nothing more than for your experience to be a meaningful one. We have convenient, reserved parking spaces located near the covered drive. As you walk through the front doors our greeters, ministers, and members will make sure you are welcomed into the Worship Center and escorted to a life-changing Bible Study Growth Group experience.

Sunday Worship Experience

The focus of our worship is God. This can be clearly seen in the selection of scripture, music, and prayer in our services. The 9:30 morning worship is led by our adult choir, praise team, and orchestra, featuring a mix of contemporary and the great songs of our faith. The 6:00 evening worship is more traditional in style and features well known hymns. Before and after worship our small group time takes place. Growth Groups meet on Sunday mornings at 8:20 AM and 10:45 AM. Growth Groups are the place where the life of our church happens. No matter what season of life you’re in, we believe Growth Groups help to encourage spiritual growth while deepening relationships with others.

What do I wear?

There’s no dress code at First Baptist Church! While here on Sunday, you may notice that our people aren’t defined by one particular style of dress. From “very casual” to “Sunday Best,” our congregation is a collection of ordinary people that are different ages, coming from different backgrounds, but unified with one purpose – to live life centered in Jesus Christ.

What about childcare?

Childcare is provided every Sunday morning by caring members who teach God’s Word for children from birth to Kindergarten. Older children have access to Activity boxes for 4 year old through 1st grade and Pastor’s Pals binders for 1st-6th grade during morning worship and children’s “Growth Groups.” This allows families to be able to worship together and attend their own growth group.

Where do I park?

There is a tremendous number of parking places available on or near the First Baptist Church campus. There are two main lots surrounding the building, and three secondary lots just a few yards from the church building. A golf cart runs continuously to accommodate guests who park in the secondary lots. Handicap parking is available near every main entrance to the building. Guest parking is available in the lot adjacent to the covered drive. First Baptist Church is located at 100 East College Street, Clinton. We are located just across the street from Mississippi College. Our parking lot is across from Cups in Clinton.
