LOCAL-COMMUNITY

 SERVING IN OUR COMMUNITY

At First Baptist Church, we want to go with the gospel beginning right here in our community, across our state, and  beyond, crossing cultural and geographic boundaries to reach those who have not yet heard the good news of Jesus Christ.

8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth.” (Acts 1:8, ESV)

Finding Home

Finding Home is an adoption and foster care ministry. We strive to support those who foster and adopt children through equipping and also through helping.  One example of this help is a Parent’s Night Out event for those who are Foster Parents.  For more information about this ministry, click here or email the Finding Home leaders at findinghome@fbcclinton.org

Clinton Community Caregivers

Our Clinton Community Caregivers ministry focuses on mission opportunities in the city of Clinton and surrounding areas.  We look for opportunities to share the love of Christ in tangible ways. This team helps plan ministry projects for our church that impact our local area directly.  If you are interested in being a part of this team, contact us at communitymissions@fbcclinton.org.

Woodland Ministry Opportunites

Sundays / 8:30 – 10:00 a.m.
One way of serving our Lord is to help make a church service possible for the patients at the Woodlands Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center at 102 Woodchase Park Drive, Clinton. Volunteers are needed to push a wheelchair, lead singing, play the piano and preach, too. Utilize your strength or your talent! It can’t get any easier than pushing people in wheelchairs to the service.
Go as often as you want. Most people are scheduled once every three months (4 times a year). People who push patients serve from 8:30 – 10:00 A. M. For those who can play the piano, lead a hymn or teach the Bible you are needed from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m.
For more information or to volunteer contact Ministry Leaders Carolyn Cannon (601-922-8537 /ccannon8537@gmail.com or Mark Simpson (601-594-1486 / marksimpsonis@gmail.com).
