Bacon was born in Birmingham, Alabama, in the shadow of Hunter Street Baptist Church. He was raised by Godly parents who encouraged him to follow God’s will in his life. His two loves were church and music, so his commitment to full time music ministry was a natural as well as spiritual call. A third love entered his life while working on a Music Degree at Samford University. Martha White shared his love for the music ministry and became his wife following graduation. Bacon received his Masters in Church Music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. They have two daughters. Amanda became Mrs. Matt Thomas after graduation from Mississippi College; and Heather, also a graduate of Mississippi College, is Mrs. Rusty Bryant.
Upon graduation from seminary, Bacon served as Minister of Music at Glasgow Baptist Church in Glasgow, Kentucky, for 4 years. In 1976, he accepted the call of First Baptist Church Clinton where he is in his 33rd year as Music Minister. Bacon’s favorite hobby is spending time with his family. However, if you can’t find him with them, you will probably find him on the golf course where he loves to tee it up.

He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Kenny and his wonderful wife, Cassie (Clinton native), have two beautiful daughters, Madeline and Emma Grace. When not at the church or hanging out with teenagers, you will likely find Kenny with his family, reading a book, mountain biking, or flying a kite.
His favorite food is “Mom’s Chicken” (recipe from Cassie’s family), favorite reads are Harry Potter series and John Grisham books, and his selfish dream is to own a motorcycle.
Kenny’s biggest accomplishment beyond convincing Cassie to become his wife was running the Cow Town Marathon in Ft. Worth, Texas.
